Personal Goals for Startup Abroad

Yesterday morning, our first exercise for Startup Abroad was to share 4 measurable goals with the group so as to hold each other accountable for achieving results over the course of our two weeks in Bali. For added accountability, I’ll publicly share my four Oh Hey World goals for the program:

  1. Product: move from the very rudimentary MVP (minimal viable product) I have running now to a more robust version 1 Beta.
  2. Revise and finalize my business plan and pitch deck.
  3. Create version 1 of my marketing plan. My background is marketing, so obviously I’ve thought about how to market Oh Hey World quite a bit. That plan sits largely in my head right now, but needs to be transferred to keystrokes.
  4. Finalize company mission and values. This is a bit fuzzy in terms of being measurable, but I need to determine the grand vision of how this company is going to be built. The primary decision is whether this company raises money, grows quickly, and sets up an office in San Francisco, New York, or Boulder or bootstraps, grows slowly, and stays virtual for awhile?

Now, time to take action…
